What is not included in a Premium Room stay?
Treatments at the Alegría Spa carry an extra charge and need a reservation, and guests under 18 are not admitted to the spa. Scuba excursions and certification, other excursions, laundry and boutique purchases are also paid extras. Access to the private beach area, the Privileged pool and the BLoved à la carte restaurant is a benefit of Privileged rooms, which are a separate category.
How far is the beach, and is the room close to the pools and restaurants?
The resort has direct access to a private natural beach within about a 5-minute walk, with beach umbrellas provided. Pools and restaurants are all on the resort grounds, including the La Brisa buffet beside the sea. The walk from your room varies with where it is located.
Is the Premium Room a good choice for families or couples?
Yes. Catalonia Riviera Maya is a family-friendly resort with no adults-only areas. It has a supervised Kid's Club for ages 4 to 12 and a children's pool. The two-double-bed option suits families or friends sharing, and the king bed suits couples. Because the room sleeps four at most, larger families will need more than one room.
What should I know about check-in and policies before booking?
Check-in starts at 3:00 PM and check-out is at noon. The minimum check-in age is 18, and you will need photo ID and a credit card at the desk. Pets are not allowed. À la carte restaurants require reservations, so it helps to book them with Guest Relations soon after you arrive.
